Girly Bits- Cosmic Ocean

Sometimes a polish needs no introduction. This is one of those times.

I will say this was one of the most difficult polishes to capture, so I have a mix of camera and iPhone pictures, and none of them show the incredible beauty that Cosmic Ocean truly is. These are all the same mani, in different lighting.
The duochrome on Cosmic Ocean is truly stunning.
This is Cosmic Ocean layered over one coat of Wet n Wild black creme.
(which by the way, is the best black creme polish you will find for less than $15)

Cosmic Ocean is now available. I will be accepting orders through the holidays, but I will only be processing and shipping until December 20th. I will resume shipping the first week of January. No one will be asked to pay for an order until it is ready to ship.
Please click on the tab at the top of the page, for ordering info and pricing.

Girly Bits- Rogue

As a polish creator, I love all colours, and textures. As a polish wearer, I have my favourites, but there is little I won't wear. Reds are probably the colour I wear the least, and nudes. One of the nice things about being in close contact with a lot of  polish lovers, is being able to take requests for colours, and it is very rewarding when I have the opportunity to be able to fulfill someones request.
So, today I bring you Rogue. I was asked by a friend- Red Rogue ( who also happens to be Canadian),  to create a red jelly with holo glitter. In the process of working the colour, I wandered away from the original idea, but loved what I was getting. I called it Rogue, in honour of Red, and also because it had wandered away from the original intent.  When I was done, I showed  Red, and she loved it. So here she is. A red jelly, with pink and violet glitter, and red micro bar glitter.

If you could have a polish made just for you, what would it be?

New Addition to the Girly Bits Lineup- Into the Night

Into the Night is a black jelly-ish polish jam packed with multiple colours of glitter,
 holo glitter and pink shimmer.

In the sun, it sparkles like crazy, catching the light and reflecting just about every colour you can think of. In the shade and in low light, the glitters just peep out, and catch the light in a more subtle way. These pictures are three coats, but I could have gotten away with two.

On availability, and sizing- I will now be offering all polishes in both the currently available mini's (5mls) ($6.00 ea.) and the new full size (15mls) ($10.00 ea.)

I will be taking orders for the new collection by the end of this week, when I am done posting swatches, and I will continue to receive orders through the holidays. Please note that processing  and shipping will cease for the year on December 20th, and will resume the first week in January. I will do my best to get through as many orders as I possibly can.

OPI Glacier Bay Blues and Color Club Sugar Plum Yum

Just a quick post today- but I really wanted to show you the super yumminess that is happening on my nails right now. First up is OPI Glacier Bay Blues which is a deep blue with a very slight dupchrome of purple and green. It is far more present in the bottle than it is on the nail, but it is still very pretty! I managed to buy this recently, and I am so glad to be able to knock it off my wish list. I applied one thin coat and one thicker coat. It can be a little patchy, so if you do thin coats you  might need three. The dry time was good though, so no worries.

You can see the purple a little better in this picture.

After admiring this alone for while, I decided to top it off with Color Club Sugar Plum Yum.
It has different sizes of green and purple glitter  in a clear base.
I love the way this looks over Glacier Bay Blues! It's got more sparkle in real life, and is quite appropriate for the holiday season.

I never used to be a fan of chunkier glitters, but lately I am really enjoying them.
Are you a fan of glitter? If so, what are your favourite types? Ones that are meant to layer over another colour, or ones that are meant to give full coverage? Do you prefer fine or chunky glitter?

Keep an eye out for new Girly Bits colours, coming soon.
It's been a productive week in the polish lab.

Thanks for looking!!

Lynnderella- I Can Afford It! Over ORLY Lucky Duck

Gosh I love a good green, and today I have two of them to share with you. Lynnderella- I can afford it! And ORLY Lucky Duck- which is actually more of a teal.
Lucky Duck is a gorgeous teal cream, with great application and nearly a one coater. It dries with a satin finish, but it actually looks great that way.

Then I topped that with Lynnderella I Can Afford It! which is a bright green jelly base, with a few different sizes and shapes of green glitter, and a random purple glitter in there as well. It's very sparkly, and gorgeous!

Ooooh I love close ups of Lynnderellas~ Look! there is even a copper glitter in there. Love it.

This is one from this collection that I would say is a must have, especially if you love greens.

Lynnderellas will be available very soon at Llarowe.
Llarowe also carries a wide variety of highly sought after polishes from all over the world, and she ships internationally. So now all those polishes you could never get, can now be in your hands.
Leah Ann Larowe has amazing customer service as well, and I highly recommend checking out her site.

Lynnderella Mysterious Ways over Revlon Midnight Haze

Mysterious ways has so many different faces, it was hard to capture them all. This is one of those polishes that, the longer I wore it, the more I loved it. Mysterious Ways is a light smokey grey base, that leans lavender, with multiple sizes and shapes of glitter in it, in holo, silver, black, white, and grey, and some little holo pixie dust. It is actually quite amazing, and was a surprise love of mine.

Here I have two coats of Mysterious Ways over Revlon Midnight Haze.

And here is Midnight Haze on it's own. It is a metallic gunmetal grey. It applies well, with a few brushstrokes, but nothing out of the usual for this type of polish. It reminds me of hematite, but not as shiny.

Lynnderella- Funny Money

Today I bring you Funny Money, by Lynnderella.
This is a deep green jelly base, packed with multiple sizes and colours of green glitter, some holo, green and orange (?)  bar glitter and some pink, purple, red, blue, and black glitter as well. Lots of things happening here. I just happened to layer it over Brucci Black Emerald, because that was what I had on at the time. I may re-swatch it later over a lighter green.
It's a little lumpier than some of the other polishes, which may actually just be user error. It's still a unique colour to have in your collection.

And here is Brucci  Black Emerald on it's own. I could not capture the deep Emerald flash at all. In real life, it's much more obvious.
