New Addition to the Girly Bits Lineup- Into the Night

Into the Night is a black jelly-ish polish jam packed with multiple colours of glitter,
 holo glitter and pink shimmer.

In the sun, it sparkles like crazy, catching the light and reflecting just about every colour you can think of. In the shade and in low light, the glitters just peep out, and catch the light in a more subtle way. These pictures are three coats, but I could have gotten away with two.

On availability, and sizing- I will now be offering all polishes in both the currently available mini's (5mls) ($6.00 ea.) and the new full size (15mls) ($10.00 ea.)

I will be taking orders for the new collection by the end of this week, when I am done posting swatches, and I will continue to receive orders through the holidays. Please note that processing  and shipping will cease for the year on December 20th, and will resume the first week in January. I will do my best to get through as many orders as I possibly can.

Thanks for looking!

Pumpkin by Icing, and black shatter

A few days ago I showed you an amazing orange glitter with superfantastical bling-o-rama going on here.
This is the same colour, with OPI Black Shatter on top. I was going for something sort of Halloween-ish with the black and orange, and I guess it's ok, but it's a shame to cover up the amazing glitter. I dabbed the shatter polish on and swiped it back and forth across the nail instead of the typical swiping motion used to apply polish. This causes the polish to shatter in a more random pattern. You can apply shatter in all different ways to achieve a different look. No matter how you do it, you  just have to be fast, and try not to go over the same spot twice.

Here is a pic of it before I applied the top coat. It makes it look a little charred, which I guess is appropriate for Halloween.

Joe Fresh Twilight Flakies!!

I have a deep love for Joe Fresh polishes. 1)because they are great, both colour and formula, 2)because they are Canadian Made, and 3)because they are really affordable. How can you go wrong?
This is one of their most unique. Twilight. It is a black jelly with multi coloured flakies in it. The flakies are similar to the ones in Hidden Treasure. This one needs 3 coats to get to full opacity, because it is a jelly. I have tried it over a layer of black, but I found I didn't get anywhere near the sincere awesomeness that shows through when you use three coats alone.

This one has become harder to find, but if you find it, get it! She is a beaut!

Here is is again, with  matte topcoat on it.
I am really loving matte flakies!

And just because I had this one kickin around since summer, I thought I would share it too.

What do you think of Twilight? I love flakies myself :)
Any other Twilight book/movie fans here? I happen to love the books, and I am looking forward to the movie. Should be interesting if it's done properly

I Love a Good Layer! Layering experiment with Icing No Whinning and Pure Ice Busted

Ok so that was a cornball post title, but that's what happens when it's sweltering outside and you have to stay inside all day to avoid the inevitable melting.
Today I bring you *drumroll* No Whinning by Icing. It`s a gorgeous vampy blackened purple packed with burgundy shimmer. Inside it basically looks black, but outside WOW it comes to life. The shimmer just glows. It has smooth and easy application, and great shine. I am often quite impressed with the polishes from Icing. The price is right, the quality is usually good or great, and they are always on the ball with trends. They get an A+ from me.

Isn`t she pretty?

Here I have topped it with Busted from Pure Ice which is a sheer light purple with violet micro-shimmer in it. It's great layered over all kinds of colours.

Just gorgeous!

Layering polishes is so much fun! Sometimes you end up with such a surprise, it feels like a brand new polish!
