Season of Sparkle swatches

I have some swatches of Season of Sparkle to share with you today. I will have nail swatches soon, but I wanted to be able to show you something at least, and my cuticles are in NO condition to be on public display. The downside to creating nail lacquer? The abuse my hands and especially my cuticles take, from daily exposure to acetone.

Season of Sparkle is tentatively set to be released on November 23rd 2012

Halloween Collection 2012 and a full restock

I am very excited to announce the Halloween collection will be launched on September 17th in  my store. (click here) along with the three new Calendar Girls.

All previously released shades will be restocked as well. I have a few other shades that will be released sporadically between October and December, but this will be the last full restock in my store until the end of October. All lacquers will continue to be available through-

All of the new releases are $10 ea. and the Halloween Collection will also be available in mini's as a complete set only, at this time for $30

Boo-Berry

A deep blurple jelly with purple, fuschia, navy blue and black hexes and squares, and sparse micro glitter.

Shown is one coat of Boo-berry over one coat of OPI Road House Blues.

Boo-berry can be built up to an opaque jelly in three coats.

Apparition

A clear base with off white hexes, squares and shreds, tiny little holo micro bars and opalescent hexes that flash a gorgeous violet, especially when layered over a darker lacquer.

Shown above is one coat of Apparition over a medium purple
(I must have forgotten to write down which polish I used, sorry)

Shown above is one coat of Apparition over Essie Marshmallow
Due to the opalescence of some of these glitters, they appear yellow in photographs, although they are not yellow at all in real life.

Candy Corn

A clear base, packed with orange, yellow and white matte hexes and squares, and a few white bars.

Shown above is one thick coat of Candy Corn over OPI Honk if you love OPI

Monster Mash

A clear (but very slightly tinted green, for extra creepiness) base packed with green, gold and black hexes, squares and shreds

Shown is one coat of Monster Mash over Avon Olive green

Fright Night

A black jelly base with various sizes and shapes of red glitter.

Shown above is one coat of Fright Night over Wet n Wild black cream.

This collection also offers some fun layering combinations within itself.

Thanks for looking!

♥ See you Monday! ♥

Calendar Girls Part 3 - September to November

When Calendar Girls was born, the idea was that it would be a year long series, with a shade to represent each month of the year, released in sets so that at the end of the year, you will have a polish for every season, making an entire collection.

The first part of the Calendar Girls Collection was released in February 2012, and the the second set in the series was released in May.

Today I would like to share with you the 3rd part in the series, with shades that represent September, October and November. Christmas gets a release all it's own. =)

These are set to release Monday September 17th in my STORE

Indian Summer was inspired by the amazing fall days we have here in Canada. Just when you think summer is over, we have gorgeous warm days, and beautiful cool nights. We have spent Labour Day on Pelee Island with the family for 20 years, and every year we take the the ferry back to the mainland on Sunday at 8pm and get to experience the amazing sunset just after we set sail. Each year we snap a picture of the sunset, and each is more beautiful than the last.

Here is this years sunset

Indian Summer is a mix of pink, blue, periwinkle, copper and gold, in a sheer periwinkle base.

Shown above is Indian Summer at 2 coats with no undies, one coat over American Apparel  Peacock, one coat over OPI Fly, and one coat over Zoya Malia (*it looks darker here than I recall Malia looking, so I could be wrong about the Zoya Shade)

Howl at the Moon is a blackened blurple jelly with various sizes of gold hexes. It can be built up to opacity with three coats, or also looks great layered over a dark purple, blue or a black.

Howl at the Moon is shown above left to right layered over OPI Siberian Nights, OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees and at three coats with no undies, two coat/no undies and one coat.

Crunchy Leaves is a medium-dense glitter mix of orange, copper, brown, and red, in a sheer earthy base.
It can be built up to opacity at three coats, or layered over your favourite fall shade
 .

We have added many new glitters to the store for those of you who like to dabble in frankening, as well as polish bottles pre-filled with lacquer base.

Thanks for looking!
